Technology Assistant

I started my Administrative Internship experience in August 2020.  One of my first tasks working alongside our school's administration was to organize our iPad inventory. Throughout the organization process, I created spreadsheets and formed a team of teachers to help prepare our iPad inventory to go out to students. We updated iPads, downloaded applications, set privacy settings, and created login information for our students. After the iPads were prepared to go out to students who were continuing to learn from home I invited parents and students to come up to the school to pick up their devices. At the pick-up tent, we had stations set up for translation services, directions, and device agreements. Throughout the school year, I was the point of contact for teachers, students, and parents who had any questions, problems, or concerns about their devices. I continue to be a point of contact for technology needs throughout the building. When teachers have iPad requests or assistance they fill out a survey form and I respond within the day. 


Being a technology assistant has shifted my mindset to be solution-oriented when it comes to building-wide technology issues and roll-outs. In this role, I am able to hear from the teachers, students, and parents about different concerns and come up with creative solutions that keep all parties engaged in the learning process.
